Firstly, this is a graduation project done by 4 students majoring in data science at the University of Jeddah.
The original web application was built to explore used-car pricing in Saudi Arabia and demonstrate an end-to-end machine-learning product.
This is done by taking input from the website’s users, then processing it using a machine learning model that predicts the car price based on the user’s input.
The original 2023 evaluation reported an R-squared score of 95.7% using Extra Trees. During this restoration, that result was reproduced from the original training code. A stricter re-evaluation after removing exact duplicate rows produced about 93% R-squared. This site still uses 2023 market data, so its estimates are a portfolio demonstration rather than current 2026 valuations.
Additionally, the web application will route its users to an interactive dashboard that will help in understanding the used cars market in Saudi Arabia.
